The “Platinum” Tuning & Cleaning Service (recommended every year).

Quick note on scheduling & inspecting.

In the first 10 minutes of our tuning appointment, I will inspect your piano. Inspections are free and are only charged if the primary reason for the visit is the inspection. More than 95% of the time, the inspection is free and is a great way to gather information on your piano.

What if I haven’t tuned in years?

The longer a piano goes without tuning, it tends to drop further from its designed pitch of A440. This is crucial to maintain proper soundboard crown and to help pianists, especially young children, develop a strong sense of pitch. The piano will most likely require pitch raising, ballpark tunings meant to increase & help stabilize the string tension just before tuning on the first visit.

There may also be some keys that stick or notes that just don’t sound right. It’s common for repairs to be needed periodically. I will set up a personalized repair & adjustment approach just for your piano.

Bits & pieces of what is necessary to elevate a “good” working piano to "concert level”.

Complete Action Regulation

Heavy adjustments to improve tone & performance for all levels of performers to bring the piano back into excellent standards - this should be performed in the 1st 5 years of a new piano’s life, then once every 5 to 15 years.

If you don't qualify for the packages mentioned, you may require significant repairs. In this situation, I might suggest looking into purchasing another piano to cut costs or give you an alternate perspective on things. Let’s talk!
