Preparing for Tuning
A semi-quiet environment helps create an optimal tuning experience. You might also want to remove anything (non-piano related) from the piano as Randy will be removing parts of the cabinetry.
What I’ll Need
I just need 10 minutes to run a quick but thorough inspection to then go over options with you. 99% of the time, inspections are free & only charged if the primary reason for the visit is the inspection. First-time visits are usually anywhere from 1 hr to 2.5 hours.
If you’ve not tuned in years, your piano might need a little lovin’.
Pitch Raising - multiple discounted tunings returns & stabilizes the strings back to pitch after years of missed tunings (very important)
Cleaning - interior & exterior vacuuming/soaping helps keep the parts working (very important)
Key & Tone Adjustments - how easily and evenly the keys play with controlled dynamics is called “regulation”.
My “Platinum Service” includes much needed interior/exterior cleaning
My “Ultra Luxe” includes super deep cleaning/polishing of all exposed parts

The Standard or Platinum Tuning
if you’ve tuned within the last 3 to 24 months, I would recommend a Standard Tuning or Platinum Tuning.
Standard Tuning
tuning to A440, pedal adjustments, demonstration of a song or 2, & emailed 6 month reminders / 1 hr visit / $225 + tax
Platinum Tuning (recommended every-other tuning service for better overall health)
tuning to A440, keytop cleaning, exterior cabinet washing, interior vacuuming & cleaning, pedal adjustments, demonstration of a song or 2, & emailed 6 month reminders / 1.5 hr visit / $316.25 + tax
Standard Plus+ or Platinum Plus+
if you’ve not tuned in 3 or more years, I would recommend the Standard Plus+ or Platinum Plus+.
